John G. Jasuta
John G. Jasuta - John G. Jasuta holds a B.S.Ed. from the University of Texas and a JD from St. Mary's University School of Law. He worked within the prison system as a member of the Staff Counsel for Inmates of the former TDC, has served as General Counsel to the Board of Pardons & Paroles and as a member of the central staff of the Court of Criminal Appeals for over 24 years, rising to the position of Chief Staff Attorney and head of the Court's habeas corpus section. He co-wrote Texas Criminal Writ Practice with Catherine Burnett & Rick Wetzel,and has written other articles on habeas corpus. He retired from the State of Texas in September 2003.
